Realism is a powerful materialization of art that appeared in 19th century in literature and painting and is still ongoing. A realism artist creates logic and relations in a work of art that comes from new sciences and social relations related to modern society. Meanwhile, Cinema as modern era art has close connections with realism for image recording and we know that from the earliest films of Lumiere brothers. with the addition of sound and color to basic silent movies, this relation continued and from mid 20th-century attitudes for social realism were increased which was reflected in works of Iitalian Neorealists and “Andre Bazin” theories. This article is a survey of the book An Approach to Realism, Cinema and the Expression of Religious Concepts that was written by Vahid Hayati that surveyed the capacities of cinema realism to express religious concepts and it is about distinguishing the common realism that reaches its climax at Neorealism movement, and a form of realism that is common to express religious concepts. In this article, Hayati’s opinions about the religious realism concept were shown. He believes this manifested in the works of Majid Majidi and especially “Children of Heaven”. It criticized his point of view about similarities between realism in Islamic and religious concepts and cinematic concept and differences based on epistemology.

Bahram Beizayi is one of the most important artists in the field of drama in Iran. Nevertheless, after nearly 60 years of Beizai's artistic activity, and in the tumult of opponents and proponents of his works, what can be seen and heard is about what he says, not how he says: from mythological and historical critiques to feminist and political critiques that interpret his works in the politics of the time. In this article, we try to examine 3 elliptical works including "The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad", "Reed Curtain" and "Facing Mirrors" from the perspective of narrative form. Elliptical screenplays are writings that are published before they can be made. From this perspective, we encounter a unique phenomenon that allows screenwriters to access, research and study the screenplay itself - even before the film is made. The way to explain and examine these works is to examine the narrative style and, in particular, the timing of the narrative, relying on the views of Gerard Genette, the French structuralist narrator. The purpose of this article is to study the relationship between time and causality as the basis of a narrative in Elliptical works and to explain how he views the universe, focusing on the form of his works.

The fantasy genre is of the most problematic genres in cinema and has been neglected by cinema adherents for decades. Although the first so-called fantasy works date back to the early years of cinema and the works of George Millis, by the late 1970s, for many reasons, including the relatively high cost of producing such works and the lack of progress in cinematic technology, fewer fantasy works appeared in cinema. One of the important theoretical issues about fantasy works is the confusion of such films with other works of cinema such as horror and science fiction. An accurate definition of the concept of fantasy is problematic; Therefore, considering the creation of brilliant works that carry the attribute of fantasy after the 21st century, and the audience's interest in these works in recent times, as well as the growth of cinematic technology, find specific frameworks to determine the characteristics of fantasy works and distinguish them from other similar works such as science-fiction and horror seem necessary. The Importance of “The Fantasy Film” book by” “Katherine A. Fowkes”, the translation of “Ali Zafar Ghahremani Nejad” is due to the attempt to find answers to these questions and ambiguities that this kind of works have created among cinema people and therefore it is necessary to examine how the author explains the concept of fantasy. This book was published in 2016 by Nashrbidgol in 324 pages.
